Assign password protect for folders (Ploud6)

Modified on Fri, 19 Apr 2024 at 03:01 PM

Ploud has a feature where you can password-protect a folder and a folder's subfolders and its contents. That is viewable by the public if they are given the password. When a folder is selected from the main navigation the user will be challenged to enter a password.

This could be used for a restricted board member area. Support for community members-only club information. Anything you can think of where an area is available to the public without having a normal user access account.

Note: Subfolders will be available for viewing when any password is entered for any folder in the chain this includes the root folder.

To assign a password go to any folder and from the left toolbar select Assign Password

On the following display, enter a password that users will enter to access the password-protected area.

In the Reason section enter the reason users see that a password needs to be entered to access this area. This message will be displayed in an information banner like below that is displayed on the password challenge page.
