You have the option to protect folders from being deleted by logged-in users. This helps prevent accidental deletions. Without this setting, when someone tries to delete a folder, a confirmation popup will appear showing which pages and subfolders will be affected. Despite this confirmation, folders can still be deleted due to user error. If a folder is mistakenly deleted, the only way to recover it is by rolling back the entire site from a backup. However, this may not always be ideal as any changes made to the site after the backup date and time will be lost.
Anytime a folder is created, the option to protect it from deletion and renaming will be displayed. To activate the feature, you just need to check the checkbox.
- Navigate to the folder you want to protect and Edit the folder
- Within the editing page, you can click the checkboxes next to Delete protection and Rename protection.
- Make sure you click Save for your settings to take effect.
