Blocking portlets on a page (Ploud6)

The layout of a page by default is a left-column portlet and right-side portlet with a center content area. You may want to block on portlet column.  Sometimes you want to have more room for center content on a page such as a page that contains a calendar.

How to block a portlet

1.) Select Manage Portlets from the main tools menu

2.) Select the portlet column you wish to block on a page. Make sure you open this and select the portlet on the specific page you want the portlet column not to show.

3.) From the dropdown for Manage portlets page in the section Block/Unblock portlets select Block
