My forms are auto-filling in my email address

Modified on Wed, 17 Jun, 2020 at 4:06 PM

By default when creating a form with PloneFormGen the tool used in Ploud. For email fields added to your form will automatically be filled in with your email from the email address you setup your Ploud account with.

This only happens when you are logged in to the Ploud site your clients (Anonymous) users will not have this issue the email field will be blank. You only need to make these setting changes if it bothers you to have this field filled in automatically.

Example of what you would see on a form containing a email field.

Here are the steps that you would take to exclude your login email address from automatically filling in email fields.

1.) Open the form and select contents tab to display the web forms contents.

2.) In the contents area select and open the email field
3.) Here you can see it was populated with my email address. You now want to select Edit
4.) Once in the edit screen scroll down to where it says default  if the field you see this as the default entry  field  dynamically overridden remove it and select save at the bottom
5.) Select at the top of the edit view the overrides tab and remove Here/memberEmail and save at the bottom

You can now view the form and your email address will no longer populate the email field. You now want to do what I just showed on your other forms where needed.
