Embedding YouTube Videos

A Ploud website can play basic video's, but this is not the best approach for video playback. Ploud is not geared to severing files such as YouTube or Dropbox. The best approach is having video's that are hosted on a streaming platform such as YouTube but play within your website so you don't have to redirect users off to another streaming site and lose the focus of your users. In this article we will show you how to stream videos from YouTube on your website using an embedded code that YouTube provides.

If you are using a video that is not already available on YouTube You will need to upload that video to YouTube. Here are instructions for uploading Videos to YouTube.

How to get the embed code to place on your own website page form a YouTube video. On most videos you can right click on a video and select "<> Copy Embed Code" this will place the code in your clipboard and ready to paste into your Webpage.

To paste this code into a web page you want to use the source code option available on text editor tool bar.

Once you click on <> a popup will appear. This is where you want to paste the embed code by using CTRL-V. Once the code has been pasted select OK.

Make sure to Save the page in order to keep your work.

You now have a YouTube video on your website that will use YouTube's streaming service to play a video on your website. You can pause fast-forward and rewind as well as view the video in full screen by using the videos options.
