Michigan State Libraries have an available tools to show users their individualized return on investment in their local library. This tool is a combination of HTML and Javascript that has been written with pre-defined calculations to give an interactive interface for your end-users.
You don't have to worry about writing HTML or Javascript, we've done it for you! All you need to do is click on the 'roiSnippet.txt' file attached to this article (see link below). Select all of the text in that document (ctrl-a, command-a (mac)) and then copy that code (ctrl-c, command-c (mac)) into the WYSIWYG source code tool.
- Create a page for your ROI calculator on your site.
- Click on the roiSnippent.txt file attached to this article.
- Select all of the text in that file:
- Edit the page you created and in the Text area of the content Editing screen, select Source Code from the WYSIWYG Editor Toolsmenu:
Paste the ROI code into the Source Code Editor and click OK.
Click Save to save your changes.
You should now have a page that has the following content. Feel free to add values to the 'Your Use' fields to see how the auto-calculations work.
